Yesterday was Andy's last day of work at 026. He is going to be heading to Idaho Falls this week to find a new place to call home.

The team in Boise wanted to go out to dinner one last time to say goodbye to 2 Tuff. We are going to miss you Andrew! I am so proud of you, and know that you are going to be the greatest store manager. 045 is lucky to be getting a piece of the Andrew pie!

I LOVE MY STAFF AT 050!

A few of us randomly decided to have a bon fire after work last night and have some fun while we can still enjoy the nice weather!!

so we did what all utah county kids do best!

1. drive to a remote location.

2.make a fire pit!

3.BURN EVERYTHING!

WE DONT NEED NO WATER LET THE MOTHER**&* BURN!

MOVING ON UP!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to Andrew "Tommy Too Tuff" Nelson & Ben "Mr. Perfect" Barling!! Today has been a BIG day for these two Assistant Managers.... wait.... I mean STORE MANAGERS!!!!

Here's a few facts about the newest Store Managers from the Sixty-Six Sicks...

Andrew is the new store manager of Idaho Falls (045)

- Andrew recently attended the RAPtember event in Seattle, Washington

- He has received the AMOP & Axel 3 periods this year

- Andrew is the 2nd highest salesperson in the district YTD

- He rides his bike everywhere.... he may even ride it to Idaho Falls!

- Andrew picked up the nickname "Tommy 2 Tuff" because he is 2 Tuff for everything

- He is originally from California - but has come to love the gem state

Ben is the new store manager of Logan, Utah (063)

- Ben is a traitor..... down with the 651, but for reals we are going to miss you!

- He recently attended the RAPtember event where he placed 2nd in the teach-off!

- Ben started at Layton as a sales associate and has worked his way up!

- He was a top snow sales person in the company last year

- Ben picked up the nickname "Mr. Perfect" because he is never wrong

- He is a snowboard and skateboard guru even vacationing the skate parks in Vegas this year

I am excited to see these two individuals step into their stores and work hard, give back and empower those around them! Growth is truly the foundation of Zumiez... growth personally and professionally. Their growth could also create opportunities for your growth - as we are now interviewing for 1st AM positions in 026 & 030!!

Just Snow Already

Woke up to another cold wet rainy day. Such a tease.... I know all of you are as excited about the snow season as I am, so I thought I would post a nice little snow flick. I can't wait to ride with you at this years 100 K in Keystone!!

District Name!!

It is time for another vote! The managers of the Sixty-Six Sicks all got to be in on the first round of voting for a new district name, but I wanted to open it up to the public, and get the opinions of everyone out there on this, so we can have the best district name there is.

Option #1 - Keep our name the same! The Sixty-Six Sicks, and oldie but a goodie.
Option #2 - Salty Spuds (Salt Lake City and Idaho)
Option #3 - Stagg & Buck Plus 8
Option #4 - Wildcard - you come up with the new name for us and we will throw it into the vote.

Me and Mase

As some of you may know, Mason Aguirre has been my only snowboard "pro ho" obsession, and this relationship has lasted for quite some time now.

Mason and I have had the chance to hang out several times now, at 100K twice, AMC, the Vans Cup in Tahoe, I mean, the list of exotic places goes on and on. It is how we keep our relationship fresh and new.

I have a stong belief that at this most recent AMC, Mason may have finally fallen for me, due to the RAP attire and talents on the mic. I was really puttin the vibe out, if you will.

I have posted some pictures here so you can all see us as a happy couple. Even though Mase is younger then me, we have a really strong connection. I just wanted to take the time to introduce all of you to my future husband.

Dont hate.... CONGRATULATE!

Supernatural!! This is UNREAL!

The Sixty-Six Sicks at RAPtember!!

As many of you know the Sixty-Six Sicks unofficially changed the name of the Rocktember event to RAPtember. With this name change we decided to crash the Tron Party as OG's (you know, Original Gangsters).

Overall, the event went off without a hitch. We began our plan for Holiday, learned more about the business, discussed 100k, updated Z-Hire, modified daily/weekly emails and of course.... had a lot of fun!

We performed at the highest level as well. Andrew made it all the way to the semi-finals and Ben placed 2nd in the AMC teach off. Buckley attended Leadership 3, Marci and Duscha created a district focus around TAP RAP, The WOW!, Jen and Pbiz created a best practice focus and the rest of the crew set a recruiting campaign in motion.

All in all, we had a blast and cant wait to run crazy sales gains during Holiday!

The Best Western Region!

With all the Leadership 1 & 2 Store Managers and the Top 40 Assistant Managers in the company gathered in one room the Western Region strutted our stuff! We created a "recruiting" poster for all those in and out of the Western Region to see just how great we are.

2 Tuff: You think you know, but you have no idea.

This is the 666 True Boise Story on Andrew Steven Nelson.

Andrew was born on August 12th, 1985 to Adrianne May and Mark Nelson. He spent most of his life growing up in the Los Angeles area. He found himself a new home in Boise about 3 years ago to settle down and figure out the meaning of life.

Andrew's real life began when he was hired on to Zumiez on April 20th, 2008 (hella 420 bro). He was hired on at 026 as a 2nd assistant by Isaac Gray. From the first month that Andrew started at Zumiez he was EOP every single month until June 2009 when a young Tyler Morey, keyholder, swooped it out from under him. Andrew has proven himself to be an amazing sales person and understands the art of customer service.

Andrew was promoted to 1st assistant in Boise in June 2009, and then his real training began. He has the opportunity to work with one of the best store managers in the company (and she happens to be writing this blog) and get the experience and training in a triple A volume store!

He coined the name Tommy 2 Tuff, because of his "too cool/too tough" attitude. Stagge took notice quickly and appropriatly starting spreading the word that he would no longer be called Andrew, only referred to as "2 Tuff". He is coming around now, so when he is not putting on the cool guy show, you can call him Andy.

Andrew will be attending the AMC here in just 4 short days. Will he have what it takes to be at the top? Last year, the 2 store managers that he has been trained under, where both top 4 finalists at this very event in the Leadership meetings. Only time will tell.
